I just wanted to share a really amazing and big-hearted thing a friend has done for Elena.
Rochelle and her husband Brian started going to New Hope a couple of years ago and we were blessed to meet them there and become friends. When we started our adoption journey, Rochelle came up with this incredibly thoughtful idea to start a coin jar for us. All her and Brian's spare change went into the jar for Elena's adoption fund! That's already such a neat idea, but she took it a step further.
Their gorgeous son just turned one and for his party, instead of gifts, she asked that all the guests donate what they could to Elena's coin jar! She had the coin jar set up by the front door with a little sign explaining who we were. She ended up collecting $175!!
Isn't that just wonderful!! I'm always so overwhelmed by people's generosity and willingness to serve the least of these in creative ways!
